About Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Tour

Jump on board a premium WiFi enabled bus in Las Vegas and be transported to a magical place! Antelope Canyon's sculpted sandstone walls offer memorable photo opportunities with a walkable corridor at the bottom of the canyon floor. It was formed by flash flood waters that rushed into the cracks of the Navajo sandstone along with the power of wind erosion. With the daylight dancing through the narrow openings from the top, this provides multiple kinds of light reflections and colors. Your Antelope Canyon walking tour begins just outside of the town of Page, overlooking magnificent Lake Powell.

Lower Antelope Canyon - V Shaped and parallel slot canyon walls, 1335 feet of walking, great lighting all day, year around, light beams often appear late mornings except for Winter. There are some steep stairs to climb down into the canyon, mostly below ground level. Must be able to climb independently. After visiting Lower Antelope Canyon you will visit an area where the Colorado River makes a 280 degree turn around the Horseshoe bend shape of the rock, hence its name of Horseshoe Bend. Horseshoe Bend Overlook requires a 1.5 mile roundtrip (2.4 km) walk over sand and rocks. You will reach a 1,000 foot canyon as you look down upon the mighty Colorado River at the bottom of Glen Canyon.

Upper Antelope Canyon - A-shaped canyon, easy 660 feet of walking, light beams often hit the canyon floor April - August. It is the most easily accessible, walking on flat, sandy ground with walls going up around you. After visiting Upper Antelope Canyon you will visit an area where the Colorado River makes a 280 degree turn around the Horseshoe bend shape of the rock, hence its name of Horseshoe Bend. Horseshoe Bend Overlook requires a 1.5 mile roundtrip (2.4 km) walk over sand and rocks. You will reach a 1,000 foot canyon as you look down upon the mighty Colorado River at the bottom of Glen Canyon.

Antelope Canyon X - Antelope Canyon X is a unique section and is named after the X carved into the Navajo Sandstone created by millions of years of rainfall and wind. You will be transported in a vehicle 3 miles to the mouth of Antelope Canyon X, where you then hike 100 meters into Antelope Canyon X. At the bottom, your Navajo guides assist you through a tour of the first slot canyon. After the first slot canyon section is complete, guides accompany you on the 200-meter walk to the second slot canyon section. It includes 334 feet of walking, and great lighting, with occasional light beams. In the afternoon, Canyon X shows darker hues of purple and blue. There are no ladders involved in visiting Antelope Canyon X.
